I never thought I'd be able to make a blog post about this, although as I haven't written yet I may be proved right!. I've blogged a little about music in the past and how much it means to me, so here's another little nugget.
As I write this, my iTunes library is running at 3,463 songs which, if played back to back would take me 9 days, 14 hours, 54 minutes and 53 seconds to listen to. I can't think of a better way to spend that spare 9 1/2 days I have coming up!!. Anyway....I've long thought that my iPod has a mind of it's own. There's no way it can of course, unless Apple are making these seemingly inanimate objects REALLY clever, but the shuffle button seems to know my mood and manages to play the right song just when I need to hear it. Something cheerful when I'm down, something soothing when I'm angry. Other times I think it might just be taking the proverbial! It even seems to play it's own choices depending what I'm doing. For example, since I started writing this MENTAL HEALTH BLOG I've had the following songs play....Help Me Lose My Mind (Disclosure), I Don't Care What You Call Me (David Ford), Mysterious Ways (U2), What Is He Thinking? (The Streets), and for the final nail in the iCoffin...Why Don't You Get A Job by The Offspring! Charming!
I guess with so many songs in a library it's easy to make connection where there aren't really any....but it makes me feel better to think like that. So before you go, dear reader, let me just hit shuffle for you...see what you get.....5, 4, 3, 2, 1....How Was It For You? by James.. SEE!!!!
(Incidentally, the photo was taken during my month long stay in a mental hospital. Whatever gets you through huh!)
