Blimey this whole Christmas thing gets in the way of blogging!  I hope you all had (or are having) a great festive period and Santa was good to you.  I appreciate it can be a difficult time for some and my thoughts are with many of those; some I know, some not.

I thought I should just write something to commemorate my Runner-Up Award in the Humour Blog category of the TWIMAwards 2013 (and if you don't believe me click here ;-)  Thanks to the judges, the person who nominated my in the first place and those who come to read it every day.  I was hoping to win (of course) but the initial nomination was a complete surprise, so to get anything was a huge bonus.  People have been quick to point out, not that it had escaped my attention, that of the 3 short-listed, the other two were joint winners but I don't care!  I only started writing this in June of 2013, so they have a huge headstart on me and I'm sure are much more comfortable with themselves and / or their conditions, not to mention clearly funnier than I am ;-).  The thing is, I'm still finding my feet with this blog.  I'm not sure what it is meant to be, meant to say (if anything), I'm not sure if it's helping me or anyone else for that matter but it's here, quietly keeping itself to itself, humbly taking up space on the interweb.

That said, I'm going to give it a kick up the hard drive in 2014.  I'm sick of waiting for life to appear at my door, I'm going to out and grab it.  See if my ideas are all I think they are.  If I can be the person I keep dreaming of being.  Who knows, I might crash and burn but maybe not.  As Paul Arden once said "It's better to regret what you have done than what you haven't" so I'm going to start with Men Tell Health.  There's a lot to do, a million ideas (ok so not literally a million) to build on and a new look website to design.  I said when I started that this would be a journey so let's make a start.  After all is said and done, it's almost an Award Winning Blog and that's not bad for 6 months work.
